Thursday Big Blue Smurf Blogging: What They Said -- special RNC edition
Today's honoree: Keith Olbermann, for his expression of disgust and dismay at the Republicans shamelessly exploiting 9/11 yet again as a vehicle with which to score cheap political points:
I swear, sometimes I think Republicans masturbate to images of the 9/11 attacks.
(h/t: Hoffmania. And yeah....what he said too.)

Why didn't John McCain wear a flag pin yesterday?
Aside from the fact that John McCain seems unable to use the active voice in citing "the failure of his first marriage" as his biggest moral failing at yesterday's Rick Warren powwow (as if it just kinda happened, rather than that he rejcted a wife who had been disfigured in a car accident in favor of a rich, pretty, heiress to $100 million), note that he is not wearing a flag pin:
Since the wearing of a cheap Chinese-made American flag pin is the new definition of patriotism, we can only ask: Why does John McCain hate America?
