Bush and FEMA can no longer point fingers
It's their show now, and they're denying much-needed help to the people still stranded in New Orleans. Steve Gilliard has blogged on so many instances of the kind of botch FEMA has made of this rescue/recovery effort, it doesn't pay for me to even excerpt them. You'll just have to go to his blog to read about two Duke University students who managed to get through in a Hyundai when FEMA still can't get help in; about FEMA rescuers being put up in a Dallas luxury hotel waiting for the call to head to New Orleans; and on why the way black Americans have been treated by government would have made them skeptical of the government forcing them to leave their homes.
