A bum deal

I would expect this of anything with Joe Lieberman's name on it. But it looks like Senate "moderates" have caved on some of the worst judician nominees ever to face a Senate vote.

The New York Times is reporting that Democrats have caved on attempts to filibuster the worst of the worst -- Priscilla Owen, Janice Rogers Brown and William Pryor, reserving the right to vote against two other wingnut nominees.

Owen, Brown, and Pryor are three of the nastiest, most corrupt judges we've ever seen -- and it looks like the Dems have decided they don't have the stones to fight the "Democrats hate blacks and women meme" that the Republicans have been using in this most cynical positioning of Owen and Brown.

So once again, instead of fighting for what's right, they've thrown in the towel.

Bush has gotten 95% of his judgeships -- many of them open because Republicans refused to confirm Bill Clinton's nominees. But as befits a spoiled brat, he wants everything he wants. And his lackeys in the Senate will give it to him, and the Dickless Democrats have just rolled over yet again.
