The National Republican Senatorial Committee is resurrecting the Ghost of White Hands. I'm referring, of course, to the infamous "White Hands" advertisement run by former NC Senator Jesse Helms in his 1990 race against a black opponent, Harvey Gantt.
This time, it's that snipper of the fallopian tubes of underage girls, Oklahoma Senate candidate Tom Coburn, a particularly nasty specimen of sex-obsessed Republican nutball who also calls for the death of abortion doctors, regards the parasite cryptosporidium in drinking water as helpful in "identifying people who are immunocompromised" (read: HIV-positive), and who believes the film Schindler's List "encourages irresponsible sexual behavior". In his campaign's latest ad, footage of Hispanics is being used in the context of "taking our jobs". It's pretty disgusting, the DSCC has it here.
