Getting Our Act Together

A visit to the various online polls this morning indicates that our side has been doing its homework all night, with Edwards being hands-down regarded as the winner.

Freepers have been poll-spamming (or freeping, if you will) for quite a while, and it's good to see our team getting its act together to do the same. One online poll means nothing, but a dozen or so is a pattern. ModFab has a list and links, so go do your part now.

In other news, Iraq war broadcasting casualty Richard Bey posts a photo at his messageboard (a nonpartisan board which has some of the most tenacious Bush-worshippers outside of Free Republic, as well as a few indefatigable souls trying to talk sense) showing that Dick Cheney HAD, in fact met John Edwards before. (Atrios has this as well.) A relatively small Cheney lie compared with the litany o'horseshit coming out of Cheney's oral orifice last night, but certainly indicative of not just an overall pattern, but of the man himself.

Meanwhile, Don't miss Keith Olbermann, Playgirl Magazine's sexiest news broadcaster and Jon Stewart wannabe (not that he a slouch at making real news sound fake himself -- Olbermann is my #2 favorite "news" guy) chanelling Howard Cosell as he blogs the debate. Olbermann notes that "if Democrats can prove they did meet, or that Edwards was physically in the Senate the last four years as often as Cheney, prime memory of the bout could be turned into Republican disaster."

Oops. Another uncharacteristic slip by the Rovians.

Let us not forget today, however, that while the handicapping is still going on, the human toll of the Bush/Cheney Iraq Oil Grab continues.
