The Christian Nation Act is about to hit the House Floor

HR 2679 is now out of committee, and is about to enter into debate on the House Floor. This bill, officially called the Public Expression of Religion Act of 2005, is designed to protect the Christofascist Zombie Brigade and other Dominionist morons from being sued in the event they, oh, say, call your kids Christ-killers in school, proseletyze them, and harass them if they don't convert:

To amend the Revised Statutes of the United States to eliminate the chilling effect on the constitutionally protected expression of religion by State and local officials that results from the threat that potential litigants may seek damages and attorney's fees.
