If the Crawford Caligula wants to escalate this war, he's going to have to give a good goddamn explanation to Congress -- something he's not used to.

Nancy Pelosi throws down the gauntlet on Face the Nation, and sounds all the right notes:

1) We will support the troops that are there.

2) If this president wants to escalate this war, he's going to have to ask our permission, because we have the oversight role.

3) This isn't about Republican and Democrat, it's about the American people, who have said that they do not support this war.

4) Congress is ready to use its Constitutional authority of oversight.
