The Museum of Planet Delusional Science

Because when you're an empire, you can create your own facts, as a White House aide told Ron Suskind last October:

We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality - judiciously, as you will - we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

And part of this Administration-generated reality is that science is meaningless, that the Bible contains the absolute truth about everything. And that's why the Museum of Earth History was created -- to try and reconcile the very real fact of the existence of dinosaurs long before evidence of homo sapiens with the Biblical accounts of creation.

If you attend this museum, you'll learn that:

• Dinosaurs are mentioned 25 times in the Old Testament. The reason the actual word dinosaur doesn’t appear in the Bible is simple: it did not exist when the Bible was written. [It goes on to say that what is commonly translated as "great sea creatures" really means dinosaurs. That many species of dinosaurs were land-based is unexplained. So it must be MAGIC!! According to the museum's president, G. Thomas Sharp, the museum is designed to counter the problem of "evolutionary conclusions were devastating the faith of millions of Christian young people." In other words, the facts don't bear out the bullshit. So what's a good, wealthy Christian to do, but enshrine the bullshit in a fancy building and call it a science museum. Because that's what Jesus would have wanted, as opposed to, oh, say, not going to war on false pretenses and taking care of the poor.
