Staying in Iraq, Morris continued, "gives (Al Qaeda) the opportunity to kill more Americans which they really like." Morris made the dubious assertion that it's better to have Americans stay in Iraq because it's easier for terrorists to kill them there. "They don't have to come to Wall Street to kill Americans… And convenience is a big factor when you're a terrorist."
In other words, if we keep feeding American soldiers to Al Qaeda they'll stay fat and happy and not come here.
Somehow I think the families of the soldiers Al Qaeda claims it is holding might disagree that this is a reason for staying:
An al Qaida-led group said on Sunday it was holding "crusader" soldiers after a clash with a patrol in Iraq on Saturday.
The Islamic State in Iraq has posted the claim on an Islamic Web site, but has offered no proof.
Thousands of U.S. troops backed by helicopters have been searching for three American soldiers who went missing in an al-Qaida stronghold near Baghdad after an ambush that killed four other U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi army interpreter.
