The porousness of airline security in regard to liquid explosive components is not new

Last night Keith Olbermann re-ran a report by Lisa Myers from March 2006 detailing how easy it would be to get components to make liquid explosives on board a plane. Crooks and Liars has the video.

So for six months, the Administration should have taken protective measures -- and didn't. What they DID do was attempt to cut funding for detection measures.

So I don't want to hear again that this Administration is making us safer. They aren't. What they ARE doing is fanning the flames of Islamic fury and making damn sure we DO get attacked again -- and they play their cards right, and continue on the path they're going, it'll be just in time for them to cancel this November's election.
