Above the Law

Dick Cheney threw down the gauntlet with George Snuffleupagus this morning: Subpoena, schmubpoena -- he's the Vice President, and he doesn't have to answer any subpoena.

It's official now: This administration doesn't think the Constitution applies to it. This now means more than simply claiming that the President has the right to declare anyone an enemy combatant. It means that the quote attributed to this president, that the U.S. Constitution is "just a Goddamn piece of paper", wasn't just a temper tantrum -- he really believes this.

And once the Constitution no longer applies, there's no requirement for elections. The 22nd Amendment no longer applies. In fact, if the Constitution no longer applies, then there's no reason for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney to EVER leave office.

If you don't think an Administration that doesn't believe our system of laws is contained in the U.S. Constitution is scary, guess again.

Watch the video that may precipitate a Constitutional crisis in the coming months here.
