First photo from Cologne: Cathedral Dom front

You have to see this place to believe it. You simply cannot photograph this cathedral, never mind the fun stuff that goes on around it, from drummers to skateboarders to lovely cafes serving up coffee and unbelievable-looking pastries to beer gardens where strangers sing along to songs that I can only hope are not called "Throw the Jew Down the Well." Oh, wait a minute. That was in Tucson, Arizona where they do that. In Germany they know better.
